TAY To Work Program
Mildrie’s Road Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the TAY to Work Program, a groundbreaking initiative designed to uplift Transitional Age Youth (TAY) from low-income backgrounds. This ambitious program uses Advanced Technology to provide immersive career training for youth between the ages of 16 and 24. With a focus on in-demand industries, such as healthcare, construction, and information technology, participants will develop the skills and confidence necessary to secure sustainable employment and thrive in their chosen career paths.
In an exciting new chapter for the foundation, we are expanding our reach by launching the TAY to Work Program in another state, bringing this transformative opportunity to more young people who face significant barriers to employment. By expanding across state lines, we aim to empower even more youth, creating a lasting impact on their futures and the communities they call home.
Key Components of the Program:
The TAY to Work Program uses Advanced Technology to simulate real-world job environments, enabling participants to engage in hands-on learning experiences that closely mirror the tasks and responsibilities they will encounter in the workforce. This immersive approach ensures that participants gain practical, job-specific skills, preparing them for high-growth industries.
Participants will also receive tailored career pathway guidance, where they will work closely with mentors to identify their strengths, explore career options, and set long-term goals. This personalized coaching ensures that each individual is equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the job market successfully.
As part of the program, participants will have access to paid work experiences, allowing them to earn while they learn. These opportunities provide invaluable on-the-job experience and help participants build a strong foundation for their careers.
In addition to technical training, the program places a strong emphasis on leadership development and mentorship. Each participant will be paired with a mentor who will offer guidance, support, and encouragement throughout their journey, helping them develop essential leadership and conflict resolution skills.
To ensure participants can smoothly transition into full-time employment, the program offers robust job placement services. Participants will benefit from the program’s strong network of employer partners, receiving assistance with resume building, interview coaching, and job placement in their chosen field.
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by the TAY population, the program also provides supportive services such as mental health counseling, transportation assistance, and housing support. These wrap-around services are designed to remove barriers to success and allow participants to focus fully on their career development.
Program Benefits:
Participants in the TAY to Work Program will receive hands-on training in high-demand industries, mentorship from professionals, and paid work experience, all within a supportive, nurturing environment. The program not only prepares young adults for the workforce but also equips them with the life skills and confidence needed for long-term success.
Expanding to New Horizons:
As part of our commitment to empowering youth, we are thrilled to expand the TAY to Work Program beyond California, bringing this life-changing initiative to underserved communities in another state. This expansion is a testament to the program’s success and the urgent need to provide meaningful opportunities for Transitional Age Youth nationwide.
