At Mildrie’s Road Foundation, we believe that empowering individuals with essential life skills is crucial for personal and community development.
 
Our Life Skills Program is designed to provide both adults and children with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate life’s challenges successfully and achieve their full potential. Program Overview Our Life Skills Program offers a comprehensive curriculum tailored to meet the needs of participants at different stages of life. We focus on practical skills that foster independence, resilience, and a sense of community.
 
Our program is divided into two main components: one for adults and one for children and youth. Life Skills for Adults The adult segment of our program aims to equip participants with essential skills for everyday living and professional growth.
 
Key areas of focus include: Financial Literacy: Budgeting, saving, investing, and managing debt. Effective Communication: Enhancing interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and assertiveness.
Time Management: Prioritizing tasks, goal setting, and efficient time use.
Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Developing analytical skills to tackle life’s challenges. Self-Care and Wellness: Physical health, mental well-being, and stress management.
Basic Home Maintenance: Practical skills for maintaining a safe and functional living environment.
Job Search and Career Development: Resume writing, interview preparation, and career planning.

Life Skills for Children and Youth

Our program for children and youth is designed to build a strong foundation for future success.

We focus on: Social Skills: Building positive relationships, teamwork, and empathy.

Emotional Intelligence: Understanding and managing emotions, and developing self-awareness.

Academic Support: Enhancing study habits, time management, and goal setting.

Health and Hygiene: Promoting good hygiene practices and healthy living.

Conflict Resolution: Teaching peaceful conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
