Internships (For Academic Credit – Various Divisions)

Our internship program offers students hands-on experience in nonprofit management, education, community outreach, and operations. Interns will collaborate with our leadership team, supporting key initiatives while earning academic credit. Positions are available in administration, marketing, grant writing, and program management.

Executive Assistant (Hybrid – Reports to the President & Vice President)

The Executive Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the President and Vice President in daily operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing schedules, meetings, and communications

  • Assisting in strategic planning and execution

  • Coordinating with different departments and stakeholders

  • Preparing reports, presentations, and official documents

  • Providing administrative support as needed

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.

Grant Writer Assistant (Remote Position)

The Grant Writer Assistant will assist the grant writing team by researching and drafting funding proposals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying potential funding sources

  • Assisting in writing grant proposals and reports

  • Organizing grant-related documentation

  • Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines

Operations Director II – House of Literacy

The Operations Director II will oversee the House of Literacy program, ensuring effective program execution and growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing educational initiatives and curriculum development

  • Supervising tutors and educators

  • Establishing partnerships with schools and literacy organizations

  • Evaluating program effectiveness and impact

Ideal candidates will have experience in educational program management and a strong passion for literacy advocacy.

Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for expanding MRF’s digital reach and engagement. Key duties include:

  • Creating and scheduling content for social media platforms

  • Engaging with the community and responding to inquiries

  • Developing marketing campaigns to promote MRF initiatives

  • Analyzing performance metrics and optimizing content strategies

Candidates should have experience in social media marketing and a creative approach to digital storytelling.

Liaison & Community Engagement Coordinator

The Liaison & Community Engagement Coordinator will act as a bridge between MRF and the communities we serve. Responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with community partners and stakeholders

  • Organizing outreach events and engagement initiatives

  • Representing MRF at meetings, forums, and networking events

  • Collecting and analyzing community feedback to improve programs

Ideal candidates will have strong communication and networking skills with a passion for community advocacy.
