Mildrie’s Road Foundation is proud to be an approved DoD SkillBridge partner, offering service members from all branches a meaningful opportunity to gain hands-on experience while making a lasting impact in underserved communities.
As part of our California-based nonprofit, SkillBridge participants will train while working in critical areas such as youth education, mentoring, and disaster relief.
This program is open to Airmen, Spacemen, and other service members transitioning from bases like Edwards Air Force Base who are looking to develop new skills, engage in community-based initiatives, and prepare for civilian career opportunities.

Mildrie’s Road Foundation is an approved DoD SkillBridge partner, offering transitioning service members hands-on experience in youth education, mentorship, and disaster relief initiatives.
Through this program, Airmen, Spacemen, and service members from Edwards Air Force Base and beyond can train while actively making an impact—helping students succeed academically and assisting families affected by disasters.
🔹 Who Can Apply?
- Active-duty service members within 180 days of separation
- Must obtain command approval before starting

Named in her honor, our foundation carries on her mission of philanthropy, education, and disaster relief. Rooted in the values Mildrie upheld, we combine her commitment to education with the legacy of Mr. Martin, a World War II veteran, to extend our impact through initiatives like the SkillBridge program.

For over 9 years, Mildrie’s Road Foundation has been at the forefront of disaster relief, providing critical support during wildfires, hurricanes, and other crises. Our California Fire Initiative is just one of the many projects where we’ve helped displaced families rebuild their lives.
